Dodge NitroDodge Nitro

The Dodge marketing team had already shortlisted some names for this eye-popping mid-sized SUV before it was built. But when they finally clapped eyes on the prototype, they trashed them all. Too soft, the lot of `em. They knew they needed something more explosive, and so the Nitro was born.

If you live one step from ignition, Dodge Nitro is just the spark you need. Starting at $36,990 with 2-years free comprehensive insurance, it's an attitude-packed machine with commanding presence, athletic performance and a spacious, flexible interior.

Wanna talk performance? Let's start her up with one of these engines: a 3.7 litre V6 or a 2.8 litre Turbo-diesel with 460 Nm of torque. Choose your poison. Then start rolling on a quartet of 20-inch platinum chrome-clad alloys, exclusive to the Nitro SXT.

Oh, and if you've got something that needs lugging, Nitro's class-exclusive Load `N GoTM cargo floor (standard on SXT) slides out over the rear bumper to make loading heavy items - up to 180kg - a whole load easier. Plus there are six cargo tie-downs to keep troublesome passengers in their place.

Dodge CaliberDodge Caliber

Here's a hatch that looks so tough you expect it to have tatts. It's the competitor-crushing Dodge Caliber. Take it for a drive and you'll feel more like you're on the prowl.

On the outside it sports powerful lines, bold wheel flares and a versatile five-door design. Under the hood, behind the oversized halogen headlamps and signature crosshair grille, you'll find a choice of three tough-torqueing engines, ranging from 1.8 to 2.4 litres including an ultra-modern Turbo Diesel. And the power comes with peace of mind, thanks to a 5-star frontal and side crash-test rating.

The Caliber's interior features power outlets and a Chill ZoneTM beverage cooler that takes four bottles or cans at a time. And you can leave your roof racks in the garage because the Caliber comes with 60/40 split-folding rear seats and a flat-folding front passenger seat.

From $23,990 including 2-years free comprehensive insurance, the Dodge Caliber is a knockout.(Only high-calibre hard men need apply.)

Dodge AvengerDodge Avenger

As the name suggests, the all-new Avenger is perfect for the true hard man of the streets, or the modern vigilante who doesn't want to draw too much attention to himself.

Starting at $29,990, this mid-size sedan is more affordable than a Batmobile, and a lot easier to get through rego. It combines bold Dodge styling with innovative interior features, high levels of safety and excellent fuel efficiency.

Aggressive exterior styling lends the vehicle an almost sinister appearance. The Dodge signature crosshair grille and large, modern quad headlamps housed in black create a menacing glare. Muscular rear shoulders combined with large wheels and tires project an image of boldness and power, and black appliques on the B-pillars make the Avenger look like it's pouncing forward, even when it's parked at the Gotham City mall.

A choice of 2.0 or 2.4 litre engines, both with Powertrain options, deliver tight-fisted fuel economy at 7.8 litres per 100km (combined cycle).
